Our Abbey School

We are a boarding school for girls and boys, we offer short and long-term grammar school and a secondary school run by the local authority. Our students live with us during the week and are welcome to stay over the weekend. Our school and boarding school are small - and very personal. There is no entrance examination, but the preliminary grades and the admission interview count.

Our boarding school - good living, structured learning

The boarding school is a place and, above all, a shared everyday life: a living and learning community of very different people who live together for a wonderful time, grow up together and develop into personalities.
Living together with peers brings a new, enjoyable dynamic for many adolescents. They learn the school material better and with more concentration, and at the same time they work on their social skills as if by chance.
They soon take on real responsibility in living together, for themselves and for others. They discover their strengths and weaknesses. All of a sudden, children and young people have space to develop. And they use it.
The children and young people become part of our learning, educational and living community. They shape this community, creating spaces for resonance and opportunity. For example, in reading clubs, choir, orchestra, theater, sports - and, not to forget, simply in everyday life together.
