Monastery renovation team carefully cleans 3200 square meters
The Engelberg monastery church, which was extensively renovated between 2005 and 2010, is currently undergoing a thorough cleaning right up to the 17-metre-high vaulted ceiling. A specialized team is using lifting platforms to remove dust and deposits from the walls, stucco work and historic ceiling paintings and repair minor damage where necessary. A total of around 3200 square meters will be cleaned. According to operations manager Thomas Stöckli, the church is in excellent condition – it is well worth the effort.
Tele 1 and the Obwaldner/Nidwaldner Zeitung reported on the cleaning work in the monastery church.
