The home Easter candle brings the light of the risen Christ into our everyday lives. This year’s theme is intended to express the following:
A summit cross adorns many a mountain peak. We look longingly towards the cross on a mountain tour, because it marks the goal we want to reach. Up there, the view will be magnificent and we can really take a deep breath. For us Christians, the cross also points to a light beyond the darkness. The light of Easter, which puts the cross in the shade. The rising sun, as depicted here behind the mountains, does not make the cross disappear, but outshines it. This is how suffering becomes joy, despair becomes hope. In short: Easter!

As every year, you have the opportunity to buy the newly made and blessed home Easter candles for Fr. 9.- before or after the church services during Holy Week. They were designed by a group of confirmands and volunteers.
