Mourning in our daughter monastery in Cameroon

Yesterday afternoon, on 16.12.2025, our confrere Br. Matthieu Makuwo de SOUZA passed away in our daughter monastery Mont Febe near Yaoundé/Cameroon. Unfortunately, an operation did not bring the desired success. May Br. Matthieu rest in peace.

Fr. Matthieu first worked with the nuns of Babété and then came to Mont Febe. Here he was responsible for various services such as buying food and various jobs in the carpentry workshop. His favorite job, however, was looking after the small monastery store.
