Opening of the Adelhelm-Stube in Engelberg Monastery
On December 12, 2025, the new Adelhelm-Stube will open its doors at Engelberg monastery. With this pop-up concept, we want to create a place that combines tradition and hospitality – cozy, warm and full of enjoyment.
The Adelhelm-Stube invites you to discover regional specialties and reinterpreted monastery recipes in a unique atmosphere. This is where history and cuisine come together to make your visit a special experience.

Thursday & Friday: 17:00 – 21:30
Saturday: 11:00 – 14:00 & 17:00 – 21:30
Sunday: 11:00 – 20:00
Location & access:
Benedictine monastery Engelberg, entrance at the black and yellow gate next to the flower store. Please park in the Pfistermatte parking lot. There are no parking spaces available within the monastery grounds.

Why Adelhelm-Stube?
Adelhelm was the first abbot of Engelberg monastery in the 12th century. Together with the founder Konrad von Sellenbüren, he laid the foundations for monastic life in Engelberg – characterized by craftsmanship, spirituality, hospitality and community.
Our pop-up restaurant bears its name because we reinterpret old recipes and bring them to the plate with products from the monastery and the region.
History comes alive – and tradition can be tasted.
